Zhou Yuxian Meets with Aramco Chairman and PIF Managing Director H.E. Yasir Al-Rumayyan

On May 10, Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), met with H.E. Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Chairman of Saudi Aramco and Managing Director of the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), and his delegation at the CNBM headquarters. The two sides held discussions on advancing comprehensive strategic cooperation and achieving mutual benefits. Also present at the meeting were H.E. Faisal Al-Ibrahim, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning; Wei Rushan, Vice President of CNBM; and Zhi Xiao, Chief Assistant to the General Manager and Chairman of China Building Materials Academy.
Zhou Yuxian extended a warm welcome to H.E. Yasir Al-Rumayyan and his delegation. He noted that since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement in September 2024, both teams have worked diligently to implement the collaboration, making progress in technological innovation, industrial park planning, and project investment. The future holds broad prospects for cooperation in composites, low-carbon building materials, and other fields. Moving forward, CNBM hopes to deepen collaboration with Saudi Aramco by establishing an advanced materials laboratory, accelerating the launch of a green industrial park in Saudi Arabia, and expanding cooperation in engineering services and supply chains. Additionally, CNBM looks forward to strengthening ties with PIF to empower advanced manufacturing and green low-carbon industries in both China and Saudi Arabia, injecting new momentum into global sustainable development.
H.E. Yasir Al-Rumayyan expressed gratitude for Zhou Yuxian’s hospitality and praised CNBM’s outstanding achievements in the materials sector. He stated that the strategic partnership between Saudi Aramco and CNBM has gotten off to a strong start and will continue to deepen, creating more opportunities for collaboration in both countries. He highlighted that PIF has been actively investing in China, having set up an office in Beijing and engaged in extensive investments. PIF hopes to further explore capital investment opportunities with CNBM in the future.
Before the meeting, Zhou Yuxian accompanied H.E. Yasir Al-Rumayyan and his delegation on a tour of the CNBM exhibition hall.
