On May 10, Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), met with His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Chairman of Saudi Aramco and Managing Director of Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), and his delegation at the headquarters of the Group. The two sides held discussions and exchanges on promoting comprehensive strategic cooperation and achieving in-depth mutual benefits and win-win results. His Excellency Faisal bin Fadhil Al-Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning of Saudi Arabia, Wei Rushan, Deputy General Manager of CNBM, and Zhi Xiao, Assistant to the General Manager and Chairman of China Building Materials Academy, attended the meeting.
Zhou Yuxian extended a warm welcome to His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan and his delegation. He pointed out that since the signing of the strategic cooperation agreement in September 2024, the teams of both sides have been making all-out efforts to promote the implementation of cooperation and have achieved progress in aspects such as scientific and technological innovation, park planning, and project investment. There are broad prospects for cooperation in fields such as composite materials and low-carbon building materials in the future. In the next step, CNBM hopes to continuously deepen cooperation with Saudi Aramco, promote the establishment of an advanced materials laboratory, accelerate the landing of the green industrial park in Saudi Arabia, and expand cooperation in fields such as engineering technology services and the supply chain. At the same time, CNBM also hopes to strengthen cooperation with Saudi PIF, empower the advanced manufacturing and green and low-carbon industries in China and Saudi Arabia, and inject new impetus into the sustainable development of the global economy.
His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan expressed his gratitude for Zhou Yuxian's warm reception and highly praised CNBM's outstanding achievements in the field of materials. He said that the strategic cooperation between Saudi Aramco and CNBM has had a good start, and the relationship between the two sides will continue to deepen in the future, and more cooperation opportunities will be jointly explored in China and Saudi Arabia. He pointed out that Saudi PIF has been deeply engaged in China, has established an office in Beijing and carried out extensive investment. In the future, it hopes to further promote cooperation in the field of capital investment with CNBM and seek more investment opportunities.
Before the meeting, Zhou Yuxian accompanied His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan and his delegation to visit the exhibition hall of the Group.
