From April 22 to 24, the Forum on Technological Innovation of Volatilization Rotary Kilns for Zinc Smelting and High-quality Development of New Materials was grandly held in Xinzheng. The event was sponsored by the Industrial Furnace Branch of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, and jointly undertaken by Henan Ruitai Refractory Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Henan Ruitai”) and China Non-ferrous Metals Magazine. Focusing on technological innovation in the zinc smelting industry and the high-quality development of refractory materials, the forum gathered industry leaders, experts, scholars and industrial elites to discuss paths for industrial upgrading and explore the future of technological innovation.

The forum was presided over by Ma Chengliang, Leading Talent of Central Plains Science and Technology Innovation, Director of the Professor Committee of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Zhengzhou University, and Director of Henan Provincial Key Laboratory of High-temperature Functional Materials. He Shuijin, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Industrial Furnace Branch of China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, Bai Xuesong, Deputy General Manager of Ruitai Technology, Mao Enliang, Chairman of Henan Ruitai, and Zhai Jianwei, General Manager of Henan Ruitai, attended the forum.

As one of the co-organizers, Henan Ruitai is an affiliate of Ruitai Technology and an industrialization base for environmentally friendly high-grade alkaline refractory materials under the national “863” Program. With years of technological accumulation and rich practical experience in refractory materials for non-ferrous smelting, the company provided solid support for the smooth holding of the forum.
At the forum, a number of top industry experts delivered wonderful keynote reports covering cutting-edge fields such as the macro development of the zinc industry, smelting process optimization, technological innovation of refractory materials, and solid waste recycling, presenting an in-depth academic and industrial exchange feast for all participants.


On April 24, upon the successful conclusion of all agenda items, participants visited Henan Ruitai for exchange and investigation. They conducted on-site tours of the company’s R&D center, production workshops and intelligent production lines, and gained an in-depth understanding of Henan Ruitai’s R&D achievements, production processes, quality management systems and green development practices in refractory materials for zinc smelting. The guests spoke highly of Henan Ruitai’s technical strength, innovative achievements and industrial layout in the refractory industry. In-depth discussions were also conducted on future technical cooperation and industrial coordination.

The successful holding of the forum has built a high-level platform for exchange, cooperation and resource docking between the zinc smelting and refractory industries. It has effectively promoted technical exchanges, information sharing and industry-university-research collaborative innovation, facilitated technological breakthroughs of volatilization rotary kilns for zinc smelting, and injected strong impetus into the high-quality development of the new materials industry.
